Single or Dual-Sided ID Card Printing

The Entrust Sigma DS2 can print on either one or both sides of a card, giving organizations flexibility when designing employee identification cards, student IDs, membership cards, visitor badges and access control credentials.

High-Quality 300 dpi Printing

The printer provides a resolution of up to 300 dpi, with supported resolutions of 300 x 600 dpi and 300 x 1200 dpi. This allows detailed reproduction of photographs, text, logos, graphics and other card information.

Fast Colour ID Card Printing

The Sigma DS2 can print up to 225 single-sided colour cards per hour and up to 140 double-sided colour cards per hour, depending on the ribbon and printing configuration. Monochrome printing can reach up to 880 single-sided cards per hour.

Dye-Sublimation and Resin Thermal Transfer

The Sigma DS2 uses dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer printing technology for producing professional plastic identification cards. This combination supports both colour and monochrome card printing applications.

125-Card Input Hopper

The input hopper accommodates up to 125 cards, allowing batches of cards to be loaded for production without manually feeding every card. The standard output hopper holds up to 25 cards, while an optional configuration can increase output capacity to 100 cards.

USB and Ethernet Connectivity

USB and Ethernet connectivity allow the Sigma DS2 to be connected directly to a computer or integrated into a networked card issuance environment.

Optional Smart Card Encoding
